Red Check Tote

A tote bag I made for a friend.  I intended it for Christmas but now it will be for her birthday in July.  I recycled some Ralph Lauren sheets for the tote and used scraps from an apron that I had made for the flowers. 

I used my big shot  www.sizzix.com and the flower die from www.stampinup.com  to create the applique flowers.  I believe this die is discontinued but I love it.  It's my most used one so far. 

Here is another view with the coordinating zippered bag I sewed.  I love a project that is not only fun but inexpensive at the same time.
